"Soul Train" was a very popular variety show that featured performances from many star R&B, soul and hip hop acts. It aired from October 1971 to until March 2006.
I had the pleasure of meeting Don & performing on Soul Train twice. Being on that historic stage was truly a blessing. My recent digital project "Soul Train" was made to bring back that feel good music Don brought to us every week on his program. Soul Train was our American Bandstand, Don was our Dick Clark.
As the show's host, Cornelius ended each episode with the popular catchphrase: "I’m Don Cornelius, and as always in parting, we wish you love, peace and soul!”
